Opinion: Why 'Marvel Snap’ tops my 2022 game of the year list

In a year filled with long epics, it’s the shorter games that stood out. Elden Ring is deserving of game of the year honours, but that long-form adventure was one of several that dominated the charts.

Sometimes it’s better for a game to buck that trend and the ones that did stood out. It’s also one of the biggest reasons for my favourite game of the year. Here are my top 10 games of the year.
