High-priority health care may be where drone delivery is headed

A pilot project led by UPS delivered prescription medication to seniors using drones in Florida during the COVID-19 pandemic. It served as a test of not only the technology, but also the community's support of it.

The pilot project happened in The Villages, Fla., a planned community for retirees with a population of more than 81,000. The community feedback, said Kevin Wasik, head of business development for UPS' drone airline Flight Forward, was "excellent."
