PETALING JAYA: Twitter is being flooded with messages that users are unable to send or receive messages on WhatsApp.

According to website Downdetector, WhatsApp is currently having issues with users from many countries, including Malaysia, Indonesia, Portugal, and Qatar, reporting problems.

Website WABetaInfo has also tweeted that WhatsApp is "experiencing an issue when connecting to the server".

Meanwhile, in INDIA, Reuters reported that WhatsApp stopped working for many users on Tuesday (Oct 25) morning (local time), with more than 11,000 reports made about the Meta Platforms owned service on the Downdetector monitor.

"We're aware that some people are currently having trouble sending messages and we're working to restore WhatsApp for everyone as quickly as possible," a Meta spokesperson said.
