vivo launches V25 and V25e smartphones, pre-orders start today from RM1,799 and RM1,399 respectively

KUALA LUMPUR: vivo has officially unveiled their new V25 and V25e smartphones, both featuring a 6.44in Amoled display, capable of a refresh rate of up to 90hz.

On the camera front, the devices share a similar triple camera setup for the main shooter – sporting a 64-megapixel main camera, a 8-megapixel super wide-angle camera (2-megapixel for the V25e), and a 2-megapixel Super Macro camera.

The V25 is also armed with a 50-megapixel selfie camera – which vivo claims is the highest resolution selfie camera in the industry – while the V25e has a 32-megapixel selfie camera.

Both devices include vivo's Bokeh Flare Portrait feature, which the company claims will improve portrait taking performance while outdoors and at night. The V25 includes a Super Night Mode feature, which claims to accurately restore colours and brightness of highly saturated images at night.

The V25 is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor, while the V25e has a MediaTek Helio G99 processor. For connectivity, only the V25 is 5G-capable.

Both devices are available in a single storage variant – with 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM – while also having support for an expanded storage option of up to 1TB with an external SD card via the shared secondary SIM card slot.

The devices also include vivo’s Extended RAM 3.0 feature, which automatically allocates up to 8GB RAM from the internal storage for use as virtual RAM.

“With the carefully designed new devices, users can capture the best moments in life with their family and friends anywhere, any time with intuitive camera technologies, while expressing their creativity and emotions through the unique colour-changing design.”

The devices also feature a 4,500mAh battery, with support for vivo’s 44W FlashCharge which is claimed to be capable of charging the devices from 0% to 61% in just 30 minutes.

Both the V25 and V25e will be available in Diamond Black and Sunrise Gold, with the V25 having an additional option for Aquamarine Blue, which according to vivo shifts in colour from ocean blue to bluish green when exposed to UV light; while the Sunrise Gold variant of the devices goes from gold to reddish orange.

Pre-orders for the devices open from today until Sept 2, with the V25 priced at RM1,799 and the V25e at RM1,399. Both models will be available at vivo concept stores, authorised dealers, official E-Store, and official flagship stores on Shopee and Lazada.

Those who pre-order the devices will also be entitled to freebies, including a V25 series leather backpack (worth RM129), one-year extended warranty (RM199), and one-year screen damage protection (RM249) worth a total of RM577 for the V25.

Meanwhile those pre-ordering the V25e will receive freebies worth a total of RM547, including a V25e premium gift box Bluetooth speaker along with a V25 umbrella (worth RM99), one-year extended warranty (RM199), and one-year screen damage protection (RM249).
