BERLIN: Before your next Zoom meeting, make sure to download the video conferencing platform’s latest updates, as the company recently fixed a number of serious security gaps in its software.

Zoom is encouraging users to install the latest version of its desktop clients for macOS and Windows as well as the latest app version for iOS and Android.

They can be downloaded directly via Zoom's download center.

According to Zoom, one security vulnerability is particularly critical as it could be used to implant malware on your device via “a malicious Zoom meeting URL”.

If you click on the link, you'll be redirected to another address, which could then be used to implant malicious code on the computer. – dpa
