BERLIN: The problem-solving technique in Amazing Bomberman? Blast your troubles away. It only takes cleverly placed explosive devices and – Boom! Obstacles and enemies are cleared out of the way.
The Bomberman series, also known as Dyna Blaster, has delighted fans since the 1980s and is now becoming part of the Apple Arcade portfolio in the form of Amazing Bomberman.
The iOS version can be played in single or multiplayer mode, as usual. However, music takes centre stage in this version, as some of the playing fields change in rhythm with the music. The soundtrack was composed by international artistes and doesn’t just function as background music, but becomes important element of the game. Until the last note fades away.
The length of a song also determines the length of battle, with players fighting it out while the music sounds. And whoever’s in the lead when the song is over wins.
Amazing Bomberman will be available for download from Aug 5 via Apple Arcade, Apple’s video game subscription service. An Apple Arcade subscription costs US$5/€5 (RM19.90 in Malaysia) per month. – dpa
