Netflix games launch on iPhone and iPad with Apple’s payment system


Netflix launched its games offering with those same titles last week for devices powered by the Android operating system from Alphabet Inc’s Google. — Reuters

Netflix Inc is resuming use of Apple Inc’s controversial app-purchase system with its new video-game offering after dropping the payment function from its main app three years ago.

The streaming giant on Nov 9 released Stranger Things: 1984, Stranger Things 3, Shooting Hoops, Teeter Up and Card Blast for Apple’s devices. Netflix launched its games offering with those same titles last week for devices powered by the Android operating system from Alphabet Inc’s Google.
