Ikea is tapping into the gaming scene, with a range of products specifically for gamers that will be available locally on Nov 11.
The Swedish furniture giant announced that the range comprises five product families – Uppspel, Lanespelare, Matchspel, Utespelare, and Huvudspelare – that will include ergonomic gaming desks, chairs and accessories such as headset stands, mug holders, and mouse bungees.
Among the five Ikea product families, Uppspel products were designed in collaboration with Republic of Gamers (ROG). Back in September, the company announced it would be working with ROG to identify what’s needed for the best home gaming experience.
The Uppspel line includes a gaming desk with controller buttons to adjust height for playing in standing or sitting position. Users can also charge one device with a built-in USB port.

The Uppspel gaming desk is priced from RM2,299 on the Ikea website. Users can also get their hands on a CPU stand with castors or wheels priced at RM79.
The range has three gaming chairs designed by Ikea, starting with the Huvudspelare which has built-in lumbar support (RM299), Utespelare with features such as adjustable tilt function (RM499) and Matchspel that lets users adjust the height of the chair, headrest and armrest (RM699).

Customers can also get their hands on gaming mousepads priced from RM29 to RM79.

For in-store purchases from Nov 11 to 13, each customer will be limited to purchase up to two units of gaming furniture and three units of gaming accessories in a single purchase. The Ikea Gaming range will be available online from Nov 14 onwards.
