Chicago officials on Aug 27, 2021 accused two US food delivery companies’ practices of harming the city’s restaurants and their customers via high fees and other deceptive practices when delivery and takeout business became essential to the industry during the Covid-19 pandemic. Chicago officials believe theirs are the most sweeping suits filed by a US city against the online delivery companies DoorDash and GrubHub. — AP
