KFC unveils gaming console that keeps chicken warm and crispy

The KFConsole puts heat build-up to good use: keeping fried chicken crispy in its patented Chicken Chamber. — KFC

The “console wars” continue to heat up with even fried chicken fast food chain KFC announcing plans to enter the market with the KFConsole.

Made in collaboration with Taiwanese computer hardware company Cooler Master, the KFConsole features an unconventional solution to heat dispersion: a slot to keep fried chickens warm.

“Never risk letting your chicken go cold again thanks to the patented Chicken Chamber. Utilising the systems natural heat and airflow system you can now focus on your gameplay and enjoy hot, crispy chicken between rounds, ” stated the product page.

Hot air generated by the hardware will be pushed through the Chicken Chamber – and, hopefully, there’s a grease trap.

Cooler Master said the console, which looks like a chicken bucket in black, was designed by its mod team lead, Swedish PC modder Timepelay.

It is claimed to be able to run games at up to 240fps (frames per second) and also supports 4K monitors with 240Hz refresh rate.

The GPU, supplied by Asus and is hot-swappable, supports Ray Tracing for rendering realistic lighting effects, and for storage there is a 1TB Seagate solid-state drive.

However, KFC and Cooler Master have yet to announce the price and availability.
