The Wizarding World's video game division has produced casual, match-3 mobile game Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells through Words With Friends and FarmVille studio Zynga.
Warner Bros' Portkey Games and mobile and social game studio Zynga are releasing Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells.
Soft launched in the Philippines from March 5, with an international rollout to follow, Puzzles & Spells is to feature the films and stories' iconic characters, narrative and settings.
Players can create their own persona and, as they progress, unlock various Wizarding World elements, such as spells and potions.
There'll be player-created groups and official events to take part in.
The game is intended for iOS and Android devices, as well as Amazon Kindle and Facebook.
In lieu of a global release date, Zynga is inviting would-be players to pre-register for an email newsletter via its website.
Zynga has not yet released in-game imagery for Puzzles & Spells, neither did it announce which of its internal studios was developing the title.
In December 2018, it acquired Small Giant Games, the Finnish studio behind match-3 hit Empires & Puzzles, in a deal worth an initial US$560mil (RM2.34bil). – AFP Relaxnews
