Realme has unveiled its latest device, the Realme XT photography-focused smartphone, aimed at young social media-savvy users looking for an affordable smartphone with flagship-like camera features.

The Realme XT has a rear quad-camera setup with the 64-megapixel camera as the primary shooter, 8-megapixel wide angle lens with 119° field of view, 2-megapixel macro megapixel lens and 2-megapixel portrait lens.

The company claims that its 64-megapixel camera with Samsung GW1 sensor comes with intelligent four-in-one pixel binning technology that is capable of producing highly detailed photos in 9,216 x 6,912 resolution.

Other camera features include 4K recording at 30 frames per second (FPS), 1080p HD video recording at 30FPS/60FPS and slow motion up to 960FPS.

The Realme XT has a 16-megapixel front camera with features like bokeh effect, depth control and a selfie nightscape mode which promises to help users take better selfies in low-light settings.

The smartphone has a 6.4in Super Amoled full HD+ display with dew-drop notch and 91.9% screen-to-body ratio.

It runs on Snapdragon 712 AIE processors and ColorOS 6 (Android 9) with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage space. Users have the option to expand the internal space to up to 256GB.

The device also has an in-display fingerprint scanner, Dolby Atmos speaker, 4,000mAh battery capacity and a fast charging feature.

Priced at RM1,399, the smartphone comes in two gradient colour options – Pearl Blue and Pearl White – and will be available on Lazada on Nov 11.

The company also announced the Realme 5 smartphone in new 3GB and 32GB RAM variant, priced at RM549, which will also be available on Lazada on Nov 11.

The device comes with a 6.5in display and a rear quad-camera setup – a 12-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel portrait lens, and a 2-megapixel macro lens – and will be available in two colour options, namely Crystal Purple and Crystal Blue.
