Samsung Malaysia Electronics’ latest flagship tablet, the Galaxy Tab S6, is now available locally with a promotion for its keyboard.
The Tab S6 brings a few firsts to Samsung tablets including a dual camera system with a 13-megapixel main camera and 5-megapixel ultra-wide camera, plus an on-screen fingerprint scanner. It also has an 8-megapixel front camera.
It has a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED screen (1,600 x 2,560 resolution) with a 16:10 ratio on a compact 5.7mm-thin body that at 420g is lighter than its predecessors.
The device also features a redesigned S Pen with Bluetooth remote control feature that allows for gesture function for taking selfies and videos or to control multimedia content. The pen charges wirelessly and can last 10 hours on a 10 minute charge.
The tablet’s Samsung Notes app is able to convert notes written with the S Pen into digital text that can be exported to formats like Microsoft Word. Users can also take notes while multitasking on another app, thanks to the Notes app’s transparency feature.
The updated Samsung DeX software is built in, enabling users to link to desktop computers using just the USB cable. Its keyboard also has a dedicated DeX function key to launch or close DeX with the tap of a key.
Samsung says the keyboard has been fine-tuned for better functionality, including an S Pen holder, free angle stand, touchpad and new function keys.
The Tab S6 is powered by a 64-bit octa-core processor and runs Android 9 (Pie) on a 7,040mAh battery. It comes in a single memory configuration of 6GB RAM and 128GB onboard memory.
Priced at RM3,099, the tablet comes in three colours – Mountain Gray, Cloud Blue and Rose Blush – and is now available at all Samsung Experience stores and Samsung Authorised Dealers nationwide.
For customers buying it before Oct 31, they can top up RM200 upon purchase to get the Tab S6 Book Cover Keyboard worth RM699, while stocks last.
