Digi has announced a special lifetime privilege for senior citizens.

According to a statement from the company, all registered postpaid customers aged 60 years and above can now enjoy an RM10 monthly rebate on Digi’s best value plans from as low as RM28 monthly for 6GB of data. The rebate also applies to all broadband plans.

“We are constantly thinking of different ways to include many more Malaysians as the world becomes increasingly digital, either through new connectivity options for easy access to the Internet or digital solutions to power their everyday life. The senior citizens offer is one way we hope to bring new meaningful services to customers,” Digi’s chief corporate affairs officer Joachim Rajaram said.

Starting today (Sept 30), all eligible Digi customers will receive an in-app notification on their MyDigi app to activate this offer, which can be redeemed in the 'Box of Surprise' feature on the app. The rebates will be automatically reflected in the subsequent month’s bill.

Similar notification alerts for this lifetime rebate will be sent to other Digi customers as they reach the age requirement of 60 years old.

Earlier this year, the telco introduced a similar lifetime RM10 rebate programme for differently-abled customers (OKUs).
