The refreshed Nitro 5 gaming laptop was unveiled by Acer almost two weeks ago in New York and it is finally making its way to Malaysia real soon.

The Nitro 5 is one of the first laptops to come with a 9th gen Intel processor which boasts higher clockspeeds.

The laptop is equipped with Nvidia’s newly launched GTX 1650 graphics card with 4GB VRAM. The GTX 1650 is the successor to the GTX 1050 that the old Nitro 5 was equipped with.

Both variants of the laptops come with 4GB RAM – which can be expanded to up to 32GB – and a 256GB SSD (solid state drive).

The Nitro 5 has a 15.6in (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) IPS panel, which Acer claims has a wide viewing angle of up to 170°. The panel has a 60hz refresh rate.

The laptop, which is powered by a 3,580mAh battery, comes in two configurations – i5-9300H with a 2.4GHz clockspeed that can be boosted to 4.1Ghz, or the i7-9750H with a 2.6GHz base clock that can go all the way up to 4.6GHz

The Nitro 5 gaming laptop will be available in early May from the Acer online store and authorised resellers with the i5 model priced at RM3,499 and the i7 at RM4,399.
