The Nokia 8.1, the latest smartphone from HMD Global, will arrive on our shores on Jan 18 in Blue/Silver for RM1,699.

The smartphone runs on Snapdragon 710 processor, which is claimed to be energy efficient, allowing the phone to last two days on a single charge with its 3,500mAh battery.

The Nokia 8.1 has a 6.18in FHD+ (1,080 x 2,280 pixels) display, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage and microSD card slot for adding more space.

It has dual cameras on the back – 12 megapixels with Zeiss lens and 13 megapixels – both with OIS (optical image stabilisation) and fast autofocus so photos stay sharp even if you have shaky hands.

For selfie enthusiasts, there’s a 20-megapixel front camera which combines four pixels into one for a clearer night-time selfie.

The Nokia 8.1 runs on Android 9 and HMD Global promises that it will receive security patches every month for three years, and two major operating system updates, as guaranteed by the Android One.
