Several works by Dutch artist Johannes Vermeer are so fragile that experts consider an exhibition of 36 originals as not realistic. Luckily, the Internet is here to give everyday folks a close-up look. 

All 36 paintings by Dutch artist Johannes Vermeer, from “The Milkmaid” to “Girl with a Pearl Earring”, can now be viewed worldwide and free of charge in a digital museum.
