343 Industries, the Microsoft games studio and current custodian of the Halo franchise, is to broadcast a livestreamed "closer look" at a trailer for Halo Infinite first shown in June.

Cloaked in mystery, the sixth core entry to the Halo video game franchise is to be given a "closer look" during a livestream hosted by its development studio.

343 Industries has a Dec 12 livestream scheduled for 1:30pm PT, a time that equates to 4:30pm ET, 9:30pm Britain, 10:30pm CET, 11:30pm South Africa, and then 3:00am India Standard Time, 5:30am Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines and Beijing, China, 6:30am South Korea, and 8:30am Sydney, Australia the next day.

The online broadcast is to take place via Microsoft's livestreaming service, Mixer, at mixer.com/halo. 343's Community Director, Brian Jarrard, and Narrative Experience Director, Dan Chosich, are to guest.

The Halo Infinite trailer was shown during Xbox's stage presentation ahead of the June 2018 Electronic Entertainment Expo, and was received as a return to the sci-fi action franchise's sweeping grandeur and a demonstration of the graphical technology that would power the full game.

A release date for Halo Infinite is yet to be announced. Halo 4 was released in November 2012 and Halo 5 in October 2015.
