Does the time between charging your notebook seem to get shorter and shorter? If you're concerned about the health of your laptop's battery, there’s an easy way to find out how it's doing.

Batexpert is a simple, free tool for Windows that gives you an overview of the battery’s current status, such as the charging status or the remaining running time.

What's more, the tool will also give you the number of charging cycles, voltage, power, temperature – and most importantly, the overall assessment of the battery's health in per cent. If you see a very low figure, you may want to consider buying a new battery. – dpa
