Typing long messages into smartphones can be time-consuming. Why not try dictating them instead?
There are now a growing number of apps that allow you to simply dictate your message into text. The app transcribes the words into a text that can be copied and pasted into other apps.
The Android app Speechnotes, for example, even has symbols for punctuation marks so you don't have to dictate them too. The app is free and the adverts disappear if you pay a one-off in-app fee of a few dollars.
Android's own version is also free and speech recognition is launched by pressing the microphone symbol at the bottom of the screen. iPhone users have a similar option. – dpa
