Instagram now allows users to tag their friends in videos, making the task of tagging your mates an even bigger chore.

“It's here! Now you can tag your friends in the videos you share to feed,” tweeted Instagram.

The GIF in the tweet shows that the option to tag appears above adding a location, and is available while users are adding a caption to the video.

Unlike Facebook, the tags will not be attached to a person's face. Instead users can click a pop-up “view tagged people” to see a list of people tagged.

Like with tagged photos, users will be able to see tagged videos on their profile page.
