Gmail for Android phones gets Undo Send feature

This feature stops you from sending messages that you might eventually regret.

Ever hit send on an email and regretted it immediately? Now you can undo it even on your Android phone's Gmail app.

This feature, which is already available on the web version of Gmail, as well as Google’s Inbox app for Android and iOS, is now available on the Gmail app version 8.7 and up, according to Android Police. 

Users will see a prompt that gives them the option to “undo” the sent email which will then return the message to the drafts folder. 

The article also says that if the recipient is a Gmail user, Google will pull back the email immediately, while messages to other email services will be delayed slightly before it is sent, giving the user time to hit the undo button if they change their mind. 

The article also adds that the time frame for users to hit undo before the email is sent for good is unclear at the moment. Google has yet to officially announce this feature for the Android app.
