Pre-registration is open now but the plans will only be available starting Sept 13.
Maxis is rolling out its most affordable fibre broadband packages yet with a 100Mbps plan for just over RM100.
The MaxisONE Home Fibre plan comes in two options: 30Mbps at RM89 per month and 100Mbps plan comes at RM129 per month for home users.
These plans do not have a usage quota and come with dual-band WiFi router to maximize the higher broadband speeds plus installation assistance by Maxperts internet specialists.
The 100Mbps plan also comes with unlimited voice calls and a free digital cordless phone, while customers going with the 30Mbps plan can choose to add this feature.
Meanwhile business plans are priced slightly higher at 30Mbps for RM99 per month and 100Mbps plan for just RM139 per month, inclusive of business grade services like "Always On" and "peace of mind" benefits.
In a press release, Maxis states the new plans are priced between 36% to 65% lower than previous similar plans, while offering unlimited internet.
Maxis chief executive officer Robert Nason says the company welcomes the Government’s initiative to enable the industry to offer more choices at competitive prices to consumers and businesses.
He reveals that Maxis is continuing to invest in accessing available fibre networks in Malaysia and building its own where possible, with plans to secure access to even higher speeds in the coming months.
Maxis Consumer Business head Dushyan Vaithiyanathan says the company's worry-free proposition has been a mainstay in all its products and solutions, and Maxis looks forward to continuing this commitment to all home broadband customers.
"With our unrestricted, no conditions, highly affordable plans, we have essentially opened up a new era of accessible fibre broadband for even more Malaysian homes," he said.

Business users will get access to technical support from Maxperts, upgrades to their router, while the 100Mbps package is also bundled with unlimited calls to all networks.
Maxis is opening the plans for pre-registration for new and existing customers, with a form available at www.maxis.com.my/fibrenation.
The new plans will be available starting September 13.
