World Cup matches airing on RTM channels will not be available on Unifi TV

Due to broadcasting rights, the RTM channels on Unifi TV will not be airing the upcoming World Cup matches.

Fans hoping to catch the upcoming 2018 Fifa World Cup on Unifi TV take note.

The IPTV service, operated by Telekom Malaysia, sent an SMS to its subscribers stating that the RTM 1 and RTM 2 channels, which are available on Unifi TV, will not be showing the World Cup matches. This it says is due to broadcast rights.

Unifi TV also published the same announcement on its Twitter account, adding that the matches will not be available on Unifi TV either via the Set-Top-Box or Unifi PlayTV app.

Responding to a tweet as to what the RTM channels on Unifi TV will be airing when the matches are on, Unifi TV said that it "will replace the broadcast with various selection of top rated entertainment programmes from RTM".
