As part of the recent redesign of its email service, Google has launched a stand-alone to-do list app to help users manage their to-do lists alongside emails.

Named "Tasks", the app will be integrated into other Google offerings, among them Gmail. That means you can drag a message from Gmail straight into the app to create a task, for instance. You can then also assign a due date to be reminded about it later.

As the tech portal The Verge reports, the app will be able to process and merge tasks from Gmail, Google Assistant and your calendar. The smartphone app is available for Android and iOS, as well as in a new Gmail sidebar feature. — dpa
