Canon introduces four new Pixma Ink Efficient G printers

The G3010 is priced at RM699 and is great for homes and small businesses.

Those in search of printers for personal, home and small offices now have four new options to choose from the Canon Pixma Ink Efficient G Series.

Canon Marketing (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd announced the G1010, G2010, G3010, and G4010 models which have the same integrated-in-body refillable ink tank of the previous G series but now in a much more compact form factor.

Priced at RM1,011, the G4010 combines print, copy, scan and fax functions in a compact body. It has a 20-sheet Auto Document Feeder function that automates batch scan jobs, supports WiFi and can be operated using the Canon Print Inkjet/Selphy print and scan app. 

The G3010 is priced at RM699 and is aimed at homes and small businesses. This multi-function printer copies, prints from, and scans easily to mobile phones, tablets and laptops over WiFi. The printer also supports direct wireless connection to mobile devices and tablets without the need for a router.

The G2010 is built to deliver high volume printing needs for users of connected PCs, and can execute multiple copy and scan jobs. It is priced at RM599.

The low-cost G1010, priced at RM499, is catered for users and small businesses with high volume printing needs.

"With a bundled set of four ink bottles, the printers can deliver up to 6,000 black-and-white document pages and 7,000 colour document pages, which can greatly help businesses manage cost and efficiency," said Canon Marketing Malaysia consumer system products division head Sandy Lee in a statement.

The printers are also capable of printing high quality 4R photos in reportedly just 60 seconds, and support full borderless photo output on glossy media (up to A4 sizes).

The Canon Print Inkjet/Selphy app also connects to social networks such as Facebook and Instagram, or Cloud storage services such as Dropbox and Google Drive via the Canon Pixma Cloud Link service. Documents and photos can be printed from these Cloud services.

Canon's Message In Print app also lets users create personalised messages with animations or web links embedded into photos.
