BAFTAs: Uncharted 4 crowned best game Inside clinches quadruple win


Uncharted 4 has picked up another award.

Cinematic action adventure Uncharted 4: A Thief's End was named Best Game at the 2017 British Academy Games Awards on the evening of April 6. 

Nominated seven times, Uncharted 4 won a single award at the 2017 BAFTA Game Awards, but it was the ceremony's prestige accolade for Best Game.

Chilling story-led exploration Inside scooped four wins on the night, for Artistic Achievement, Game Design, Narrative, and Original Property, while forest park mystery Firewatch received two: Debut Game and the Performer award for Cissy Jones' portrayal of radio-bound Delilah.

Nine years in development, The Last Guardian proved a triumph upon its release, here winning BAFTA's Audio Achievement award.

Frantic restaurant-running multiplayer title Overcooked won in British Game and Family, and fellow island nation export Rocket League topped the Evolving Game category.

Mortal meditation That Dragon, Cancer won for Game Innovation, Pokémon Go was named champ in Mobile, and the eSports Audience award went to another popular portable gaming pursuit, Clash Royale.

Online sensation Overwatch won in the Multiplayer category and detective thriller Virginia was awarded for its use of music.

Finally, keep an eye on clever building jaunt Among the Stones and its studio, Bluedoor, after the work-in-progress project was named winner of BAFTA's One to Watch shortlist.   AFP Relaxnews
