Lazada celebrates fifth birthday with mega sale

As part of its fifth birthday celebration, Lazada is having a three -day mega sale from March 22 to March 24.

According to Lazada Malaysia chief executive officer Hans-Peter Ressel, the three-day event will see a variety of special offers, exclusive deals and discounts covering some 300 to 400 brands of products sold on the site.

These brands include Huawei, JBL, Nestle, Drypers, L’oreal, Microsoft, Watsons, Sports Direct, Bosch, Tesco and many others.

Altogether there will be over one million products being offered across all the  main categories available on Lazada.

Ressel elaborated that some products will be discounted by as much as 90%, while others will be on RM1 flash sales or buy-one-free-one promotions. Certain products will come with free shipping offers.

On top of that, customers who shop during the promotion period will also stand the chance to win free flights courtesy of AirAsia Big, as well as special offers from Digi, Maxis, Domino’s Malaysia, CIMB, Maybank, HSBC, Coca-Cola and Petronas.

According to Lazada’s analytics data, across Southeast Asia, the company has sold some 12 million phones, 5.3 million diapers and 1.5 million power banks on the site since its opening.
