Malaysian Dota legend Mushi exits Team Fnatic

New challenge: Dota 2 legend has ended his two year stint with Fnatic.

Malaysian Dota superstar “Mushi” Chai Yee Fung has left Team Fnatic after a two and a half year stay.

Fnatic recently crashed out in the first round of ESL One Genting held at Resorts World Genting.

The future looks increasingly uncertain for the team due to a recent string of poor performances in major tournaments.

However, Mushi’s greatest achievement as the captain of Fnatic came last year in the sixth iteration of “World Cup of Dota 2”, The International 2016, where he led the team to fourth placing against all odds after a poor showing in the group stages.

His long time partner in Dota 2, “Ohaiyo” Khoo Chong Xin will remain with Fnatic along with South Korean Febby Kim Yong-min while the rest of the lineup has yet to be filled up for the upcoming qualifiers for the Kiev Major in Ukraine.

Mushi remains a legend in the Dota scene, having captained the Malaysian team Orange eSports to a third placing in The International 2013 tournament in Seattle.

“This is not the end of my career, coming back soon as a player. Thanks to all the fans who support me!” said Mushi in a Facebook post confirming his departure.
