LG Electronics Malaysia has unveiled the world’s first curved 4K OLED TV, the 65in 65EC970T.
The 4K standard, also known as UHD (ultra high definition) has four times the pixels of full HD, or 3,840 x 2,160 pixels.
LG’s TV also boasts a wider colour range thanks to the addition of white pixel to the primary RGB (red, green, blue) colours.
As OLED doesn’t require backlight, the TV also displays perfect blacks, unlike LCD or LED TVs.
“Our curved 4K OLED TV is set to raise the bar on picture quality and is guaranteed to deliver incredible viewing experiences unlike any other TV available today,” said LG Electronics Malaysia managing director David Oh.
It has a super fast response time of 0.001ms, making it 1,000x faster than conventional LCD TVs – LG says there will be no flicker or blur when watching fast scenes in movies or playing games.
Although large, the TV is only as thick as a pencil and is 0.24in at the thinnest point.
It features LG’s webOS interface which is simple and intuitive and allows users to easily add or delete their favourite items on the Launcher Bar. It also has a speedy start up time.
Priced at RM29,999, the 65EC970T is available now nationwide. For more information, visit www.lg.com.my
