Will the Thunderbolt port go mainstream?

Computing peripheral and accessory companies, including Belkin, are finally launching docking stations for the technology that could play a key role in bringing desktop features to mobile devices.

After a two-year wait, the Belkin Thunderbolt Express Dock has finally gone on sale: priced at US$299 (RM910.75), the dock connects to a computer via a Thunderbolt port and adds an Ethernet jack, three USB 3.0 ports, a FireWire 800 port, audio-in and audio-out jacks, and a Thunderbolt port to a notebook or desktop PC.
