LG Electronics has launched the EA93 UltraWide monitor, which has a 21:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 2,560 x 1,080-pixels.
This 29in ultrawide monitor’s aspect ratio is very close to the dimensions of movie theatre screens and will thus fill the screen when an anamorphic widescreen movie is viewed on it.
The wider screen also allows for easier viewing of documents when opened side-by-side.
The EA93’s IPS display technology also means that viewing angles are good both horizontally and vertically, with a very wide colour gamut able to display 100% of the sRGB colour space.
The EA93 comes built-in with a DVI-D port, two HDMI ports, three USB 3.0 ports, one DisplayPort, one PC Audio input with two 7-watt speakers and headphone output.
The LG says that the EA93 is due to hit our shores in a few weeks.
