Ashas from Nokia

Asha 311

The Symbian platform is very much alive. Nokia has just announced two new phones based on the platform — the Asha 311 and 305.

The Asha 311 is a colourful, compact touchscreen phone that has a 3in scratch-resistant glass display and a 3.2-megapixel camera on the back. It is powered by a 1GHz processor and also comes pre-installed with Nokia Maps.

The Asha 305 is a dual-sim phone that helps users make the most of their phone while retaining control of cost.

The new phones will take advantage of the Nokia Browser service which uses cloud technology to reduce data usage by up to 90%. This technology also helps webpages load faster.

For entertainment while on the move, the two Asha phones comes with 40 Electronic Arts games that include classics like Tetris and Bejeweled to more action packed ones like Need for Speed: The Run and EA Sports FIFA 12.

The Asha 311 and 305 retail for RM419 and RM299 respectively.
