What if a dying alien space-cop crash landed along the coast of Terengganu? What if a mystical hammer imbued with godly powers landed in the plains of Sepang?

What if we had Malaysian superheros? That dream can be turned into reality at the Star Online Carnivale with the MY SuperHero competition.

Aspiring young talents and models can head over to the MySuperhero photo studio booth on Sunday to be cast as a superhero of local origin.

Suitable candidates will be provided a costume to don and undergo a professional photo shoot as a Malaysian Superhero.

Participants will also be assembled into teams to live out their fantasy by doing good deeds for mall shoppers.

The top eight will be selected by the organisers for a public vote online to determine the Ultimate MY Superhero.

The competition is open to all Malaysians age 18 years and above, particularly youths aspiring for work as modelling talents.

Participation is strictly only limited to 24 contestants with on-site registration available from 10am on Sunday.

Interested contestants must preregister by e-mailing with name, mobile phone number, height (cm) and weight (kg), and self-photos ( less than 100KB, please).

Qualified contestants will be sent a registration form and will have to undergo a photo-shoot on Friday, Nov 18.

Cosplayers with their own superhero-inspired costumes are also welcome to participate. For more information, look for updates at in the coming days.
