WESTERN Digital has introduced its third generation WD TV Live streaming media player.

The easy-to-use media player can hook up to a home network via WiFi or an Ethernet connection. This allows it to stream content from YouTube and even access social networking sites such as Facebook.

Users can also read their favourite blogs and website via RSS feeds directly from the media player. To make text entry easier, users can also attach a wired or wireless USB keyboard to the device.

The media player supports a wide range of file formats such as AVI, MPEG, MKV and MP4, and it can access content from flash drives as well as external hard drives such as My Passport, My Book and My Book Live.

It also comes with some casual games such as Sudoku, Black Jack and Poker.

The WD TV Live streaming media player is available now for RM379. — CHONG JINN XIUNG
