PETALING JAYA: Razer has an ultraportable stereo speaker set that delivers 360° of omni-directional sound.

The Ferox is a sophisticated, modern day boombox for gamers, and its omni-directional acoustics gives a much wider listening sweet spot than any ordinary front-facing speakers, the company claimed.

No matter where you stand or sit, the audio from the Ferox will sound just as immersive, the company said.

The Ferox has expandable bass resonance chambers that produces stronger bass even for such a small device, the company claimed.

Also, almost any media player can be hooked up to the device via a 3.5mm jack.

The mobile speakers can be used for space-constrained gaming desktop setups, brought along to LAN parties or just about anywhere.

The device comes with a rechargeble battery which is rated to last up to 12 hours, and a carrying case.

The Ferox retails for RM229.
