KUALA LUMPUR: IT chain store, Thunder Match, has officially moved its headquarters to Berjaya Times Square with the opening of its 42nd retail outlet at the mall recently.
The new headquarters, which spans more than 16,000 sq ft, not only houses the offices and the retail outlet but doubles as the warehouse for the wide range of computer and communications products.
Founded in 1997, the company has grown from one outlet with five staff at Imbi Plaza to 42 branches, ranging from kiosks to megastores, with more than 350 employees across various locations in Peninsular Malaysia.
The company said the move is in line with its future expansion plans as well as to provide better and efficient services to both its branches and customers.
The newly-opened store, which has about 6,000 sq ft of retail space, carries more than 1,000 international and local brands and it also acts as a service centre offering maintenance and repair services to end users and corporate customers.
Thunder Match said it plans to open three more retail stores in Air Keroh (Malacca), Seremban and Subang by the end of the year.
