LOS ANGELES: Nintendo has announced a sequel to its hit 2009/10 Nintendo Wii game, Just Dance.
Revealed as part of the company’s presentation at the Electronic Entertainment Expo, the game will have over 40 tracks.
It also features both dancing duets and competitive contests, as well as a fitness mode designed to make players sweat and lose calories.
The title has been given a tentative release window of fall 2010, meaning sometime between September and November.
Dance games are turning out to be an emerging theme in videogaming, following the success of Ubisoft’s surprise hit Just Dance.
On June 14, Harmonix, creators of the Rock Band series, announced Dance Central for the Xbox 360 and its new Kinect controller-free system.
Ubisoft used its own presentation slot to lift the curtain on Michael Jackson: The Game, also expected before the end of the year and compatible with the Xbox 360 Kinect as well as the PlayStation3 Move motion control system. — Relaxnews
