BookFest @ Malaysia is happening now until April 6 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), offering attractive discounts on books and unique collectibles for enthusiasts.

IT IS that time of the year when book lovers unite — BookFest @ Malaysia is back, transforming the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) into a paradise of stories and inspiration.

To be held from March 29 to April 6, this year marks the event’s 19th edition.

The "Gateway to Knowledge" theme reflects the event's diverse offerings across nine days of literary, educational and interactive experiences.

The event will occupy Halls 1, 2, 4 and 5 of the convention centre from 10am to 10pm daily, with each hall offering unique attractions tailored to different interests.

A world of books and beyond

For those seeking Chinese-language materials, visitors can browse through an extensive collection of Chinese books, assessment guides and study materials, alongside the latest IT gadgets and tech accessories in Halls 1 and 2.

The Ne Zha book collection is also exclusively available at BookFest.

Meanwhile, Halls 4 and 5 will cater to English readers and pop culture enthusiasts. Attendees will find thousands of English fiction and non-fiction titles across all genres, premium stationery and office supplies and even multimedia offerings.

Highly sought-after collectibles are available, featuring franchises such as Harry Potter, Rilakkuma and Disney. For cat lovers, there are Cat IPs featuring Bichi Mao, Yuurei Neko Sama and IAdoptedACat – from cute merch to irresistible goodies, it’s a feline paradise you won’t want to miss!

Young visitors and creative minds will find plenty to enjoy, with hands-on workshops and competitions running throughout the event:

April 3: The “Gateway to Knowledge" children's colouring competition will let young artists showcase their talents;

April 4: The anime and comic cosplay competition will bring vibrant characters to life;

Various art and craft sessions, including Kindness rock painting (April 3) and Scribble Scrubbies (April 4) workshops will be available throughout the event.

Tech and collectibles for enthusiasts
