THE El Nino heatwave is likely to carry on till September.

With the increase in temperature, it will be harder to stay cool at home, especially if you do not wish to leave your air conditioner on all day in fear that it might cause a drastic spike in your electricity bill.

That’s why you might want to consider getting a new and improved ceiling fan, just like the new K11ZF tri-blade ceiling fan released by KDK under its Baby Fan series.

This time, the new and improved baby fans are modified to standard type hook structures – making the installation process easy.

Priced from RM439 to RM445, KDK’s new ceiling fan is both affordable and extra-safe, as the company has introduced a number of new and improved features focusing on energy efficiency and safety for its new model.

The Baby Fan series comes in two different colour options: Grey and White.

Safety

One such safety feature is the cut-off safety switch. The switch activates when excessive wobbling is detected, which can happen if the ceiling fan is not installed properly or if any damage has occurred.

If there is too much wobbling, the power supply will then be cut off, as the safety switch works by detaching the lever from the switch, which causes the fan to stop.

The K11ZF model even has a thermal safety switch that cuts off the thermal fuse and stops the AC motor before the fan’s motor can overheat.

The advanced safety wire features also helps to secure the fan motor to the ceiling hook, preventing it from falling if the fan motor detaches from the pipe rod.

Furthermore, the ceiling fan’s blades also come with a safety plate feature which prevents faulty blades from being detached from the fan motor.

The faulty blade will be visibly hanging with the aid of a safety plate/hook, preventing it from falling, even while the fan is operating.

Plus, with the ceiling fan’s plastic blades made from durable materials reinforced with fibreglass, it provides a smooth and strong air flow that maintains minimal operating noise.

Sleep

The three-speed K11ZF model, which has a five-star energy rating, also comes with advanced sleep mode settings to help create an optimal sleeping environment.

The timer can be set to three different lengths – one-hour, three-hour and six-hour periods.

When sleep mode is enabled, the fan speed and timer will gradually slow down in unison until the fan is turned off, for greater energy efficiency.

For example, if you set the timer to six hours at speed level 3, the ceiling fan will go down a level every two hours until it eventually slows down.

The sleep mode can only be used with the “off timer” enabled and will be deactivated if the timer settings are changed.

Stylish, compact design for easy installation

The new model under the Baby Fan series is also extremely easy to install and is perfect for small bedrooms and/or study rooms.

With the fan blades being just 110cm long, the K11ZF ceiling fan is perfect for narrow spaces with low ceilings, as it can easily be installed in a room that is at least 2.6m high and 3.1m wide.
