JOIN the International Medical University (IMU) Open Day on Aug 21 (10am-4pm) at the IMU Bukit Jalil campus to experience the range of programmes the University has to offer.
This is an excellent opportunity for both students and parents alike to get first-hand information on how their internationally benchmarked programmes can provide students with an entry to promising career opportunities.
There will also be opportunities to listen to recorded talks by IMU’s deans and academics online to further showcase what the university has to offer, www.imu.edu.my/openday
At the Open Day, IMU education advisors will be available to answer your questions pertaining to life at IMU and to provide information on a variety of issues such as applying to the university, financing – including fees and financial assistance – as well as accommodation.
You will also be given the opportunity to learn more about IMU’s scholarships and bursaries for students with excellent academic results.
Take this opportunity to explore the array of undergraduate programmes IMU has to offer and enquire more about the career opportunities you will have on the courses that pique your interest.
For instance, you can learn more about IMU’s latest undergraduate programme – Bachelor in Digital Health (Honours), which is a programme that integrates information and communication technologies (ICT), data analytics and healthcare components.
Moreover, a career in digital health would involve working in a discipline that includes digital care programmes and technologies with health and society to enhance the efficient delivery of healthcare and make medicine more precise and personalised.
An exciting combination of information and communication technologies to facilitate understanding of health problems and challenges faced by people receiving medical treatment, the Digital Health programme at IMU is one of the first undergraduate programmes in Malaysia and in Southeast Asia that focuses on digital health. The three-year programme opens for the first intake in July and September 2022.
You could learn more about IMU’s Nutrition programme at this Open Day. This programme gives you an option of either completing the entire three-year degree at IMU or studying part of the degree at IMU and then transferring to Deakin University in Australia for completion of your degree.
With this degree you could begin your career as a nutritionist – a professional who is trained to promote healthy eating for wellness and to prevent diseases in individuals, communities, and entire populations. You would be in the business of helping people to create eating plans that are realistic, sustainable and healthy.
What’s more, visitors can join IMU’s campus tour during the Open Day to get a feel of the campus and facilities – a first-hand experience at how these facilities can enhance your student experience at IMU.
At the Open Day, IMU’s admissions team will be on hand to help you navigate the application process and answer any questions along the way.
As a bonus for attending the Open Day, you can enjoy an application and registration fee waiver of up to RM800 (except for medicine and dentistry) if you make an application on that day.
