AS one of the best loved fast-food chains in Malaysia, KFC has been serving finger-licking good fried chicken for 48 years.
From its ever popular Original recipe to the new favourite Extra Hot and Spicy flavour and every kid’s favourite Chicken Nuggets, KFC has delighted us with its scrumptious chicken meals, not forgetting its signature whipped potato and coleslaw side offerings.
Through thick and thin, birthdays, family celebrations and festive seasons, KFC brings back great memories for many of us.
As we all know, it has been a challenging time this past year due to the Covid-19 pandemic as people’s mental and physical health have been gravely affected.
As a gesture of solidarity with the people, KFC Malaysia took the initiative to spread messages of positivity and unity this National Day by launching the Bucket Semangat Rakyat campaign.
The campaign’s objective is to encourage Malaysians to help and support one another despite the trying circumstances. It is also KFC Malaysia’s way of showing that the brand cares for the well-being of the people.
Sometimes, all it takes is just a few words of encouragement which can go a long way to help someone see the light at the end of the tunnel.
People from all walks of life took the opportunity to pen messages of hope to lift each other’s spirit recently under the hashtag #BucketSemangatRakyat in KFC Malaysia’s Facebook post and Twitter.
Specially for this National Day season, KFC Malaysia is releasing three limited edition KFC buckets dubbed Bucket Semangat Rakyat. The most encouraging messages chosen by KFC Malaysia were turned into art with the help of local artists Katun, AbdulRashade and Nassuha who were inspired by these messages.
These limited-edition buckets will be auctioned off to the highest bidders on Sept 15. The proceeds will go towards the charity organisation Add Hope Malaysia, the local edition of KFC’s global initiative to end world hunger.
To get your hands on one of these three special Bucket Semangat Rakyat, you are invited to place your bids from 11am to 10.59pm (Sept 15). The buckets will later be sent to the winning bidders.
