Breaking new ground


Well done: Lee Hong An and Dania Elisha Mohd Airul, flanked by coach Beh Lee Fong, achieved a first for Malaysia by winning bronze in the mixed doubles event at the World Youth Championships in Romania.

PETALING JAYA: National coach Beh Lee Fong had goosebumps. She had long dreamed of Malaysian paddlers standing proudly on a world podium and on Friday, she finally saw it happen.

Lee Fong was one proud coach as she witnessed teenagers Lee Hong An and Dania Elisha Mohd Airul defy the odds to claim bronze in the mixed doubles event at the World Youth Championships in Romania.
