PETALING JAYA: Datuk Nicol David’s legacy continues to cast a long shadow over Asian squash, with Singapore now hoping its own teenage sensation can follow in the footsteps of Malaysia’s greatest sporting icon.

Singapore President Tharman Shanmugaratnam has likened 12-year-old squash prodigy Kareena Sashikumar to Nicol after the youngster captured the girls’ Under-13 title at the Asian Junior Championships in China last week.
