Ng Eain Yow was stopped in the final of the QSF 3 tournament by Tarek Momen of Egypt in Doha on May 26.

PETALING JAYA: Ng Eain Yow’s objective of winning his second title of the year was halted by Egyptian Tarek Momen at the QSF 3 tournament in Doha on Sunday (May 26).

The Malaysian battled hard but could not break the resilience of former world champion Momen and suffered a 6-11, 4-11, 11-5, 5-11 defeat in a 49-minute final.

World No. 15 Eain Yow had won the Professional Squash Association (PSA) world tour bronze level German Open in Hamburg last month.

The QSF 3 is also a bronze level tournament where Eain Yow was the third seed while Momen, the world No. 8, was the top seed.

Eain Yow will conclude the 2023-2024 season when he competes in the British Open in Birmingham from June 2-9.
