Making their mark: Aidan Yunus (left) and Christian Didier Chin pose with their medal.

PADEL may still be relatively new in Malaysia, but the sport showed at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games that it can stand alongside the more established sports and has the potential to become a medal contributor if given proper attention and support.

Padel was one of the sports that caught the eye at this Games after Christian Didier Chin-Aidan Yunus made a surprise run to the men’s pairs final and came within one match of winning gold.
