Teen sensation Miki lands gold on SEA Games debut

BANGKOK: Mikail Ghazali made a perfect SEA Games debut in muay thai by winning the men’s below 57kg gold medal at Lumpini Stadium on Wednesday (Dec 17).

The 16-year-old Mikail, known as Miki in the fratenity, is the younger brother of professional fighter Johan Ghazali aka Jojo. 

Mikail overcame Thai fighter Supakhon Sirilun 30-27 in the final to win the third gold medal for Malaysia in the ring.

Yan Jia Chi and Wassof Rumijam had earlier won the women’s wai kru individual and men’s below 54kg respective categories.
