PETALING JAYA: National karate exponent Zakiah Adnan (pic) will head to the SEA Games in an optimistic mood after a commendable outing in the World Champion-ships in Cairo, Egypt.

The 22-year-old Zakiah reached the knockout rounds of the women’s kumite below 61kg category on Friday before bowing out 0-4 to Ukraine’s Holohova Oleksan­dra in the last 16 stage.
