PETALING JAYA: Karate exponent C. Shahmalarani (pic) is one match away from reaching the medal rounds in the World Championships in Cairo, Egypt.

The 26-year-old exponent put up a strong impression in her debut world meet when she booked her place in the quarter-finals of the women’s kumite below 50kg category in Cairo, Egypt.
