Paddlers Rui Zhe-Ee Sim’s surprise run ends 36-year medal drought

PETALING JAYA: It is an exciting time for Malaysian table tennis as a host of young talents are coming through the ranks.

The latest to make their presence felt on the international stage is unheralded Yap Rui Zhe and Lam Ee Sim, who ended a 36-year medal drought for Malaysia in the Asian Youth Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan yesterday.
